"Why is your hair turning to red?"

She heaves out a sigh. Why do Slytherins ask stupid questions? As a Ravenclaw, Sarah does ask thousands of questions too, but, really?

"Have you ever heard of something called, Metamorphmagus?"
"Oh... oh, wow, you are?"
"Oh, whoah, took you long enough?"
"Easy, Ravenclaw. We still have much time left being stuck in here, though."

And this is exactly why her hair slowly turning to red. She cannot quite grasp this situation of being stuck together with Adrian (of course, who else?) for the second time and even worse, it's because of her own fault. If only Sarah could handle her know-it-all trait in the Potion class, she wouldn't be...

"Stop thinking about the 'if's. It's happened, anyway," Adrian shrugs his shoulders lightly, glancing at her. Sarah widens her eyes a little. This annoying Slytherin reads mind? Good, Merlin. That's the last thing she wants to discover right now.

"Thank you and now, please proceed to finish your essay so I can go and find myself a peace of mind."
"You were asked to help me finishing this?"
"....and why in the world would you think I'd help, Lestrade?"
"Well, the professor asked you?"
"Well, the professor isn't around?"
"Well, I can always go out and tell him that you're not helping."
"Wha- Bloody hell. Fine!"

She rushes to find her Potion book, reaching for her quill and starting to mark every paragraph Adrian will need to finish his essay. At this time her hair is totally red you would not believe that she's actually blonde.

"Do you like stargazing?" Adrian asks out of the blue.
"Yes," she replies shortly, still focusing on her textbook before stopping all of a sudden and looking up at him. "What?"
"I said, do you like stargazing?"
"I... What?"
"How are you a Ravenclaw?"
"Wait, that's not the point! It was just weird... Never mind. I like it. I love stars, why?"
"I like it, too."
"Uh, okay? By the way, here are the paragraphs you should write for your essay. Be quick please, I'm craving for pudding."
"Yeah."

Then there's silence. Adrian is busy doing his works and so is Sarah with her Herbology textbook. It's nearly six o'clock in the evening when he finishes his works and sees that Sarah's hair has turned... grey?

"Your hair is grey."
"So?"
"...why is it turning grey?"
"Why is it your problem?"

He, too, feels frustrated talking to the girl. But in the midst of those words and the silence earlier, Adrian has made up his mind.

"Would you like to stargaze? This Thursday night, if you're free, of course."

The question almost makes Sarah choke, and indeed, she cannot manage to say a word so she only nods her head. Later, as she packs all her things and gets ready to leave the class, Sarah keeps on repeating his words in her head over and over until she reaches Ravenclaw's common room.

What she doesn't tell him is that her hair turns grey whenever she feels content.
