Four dozens of chura,
kanch ko chura,
Red red chura,
In your two hands,
Two dozens in each,
Warm hands,
Blue green nerves spreaded all over them hands,
You used to run them through my hair,
And say keep it long,
When I used to run to you after a tiring day at school,
Without even changing my uniform,
To put my head on your lap,
And you used to wipe my sweat with the end of your saree,
Soft red cotton saree,
And put me to sleep
Removing all my worries.

Your face,
Smiley face,
bright as the full moon,
With big full moon shaped bindi on your forehead,
Red bindi,
That's what comes to my mind when I think of you.
You had perfect cheeks
That blushed when we used to call you beautiful,
And full lips,
That used to give us heartwarming smile.
Even with wrinkles running all over them face
You were still beautiful and full of grace.

Whenever I used to bow in your feet,
You used to say "bhagyamani juima"
And now, those words echoes in my ears
And I yearn to hear them again,
When I say 'bhaagya bajai"
But this time to your photo
With yellow garlands on it
And I stay quiet wishing to hear you speak those words
But you stay quiet too
And my ears hear nothing except silence of sadness
That tells me I'm no longer going to hear that voice again
Hear that blessing again
And the vision of oil-lamp lit
In front of your picture,
blurs as tears fall and leave place for emptiness.

You were a perfect half of baje,
He was fire,
You were water,
And sometimes coz of baje's words,
You used to shatter
And go to stay in puja kotha
And baje used say "kwan waa dha" (tell her to come down)
But now you didnt go because you were angry,
You went coz you had to,
You thought you were only going to the hospital telling baje "ji yakna we, chinta kaidi ma te" (i'll come back soon, dont worry)
Not knowing you were never coming back,
Making baje wait for you,
You, who were always worried about baje,
Leaving baje shattered
And waiting,
And we cant call you down saying bajai, baje is waiting for you,
And seeing baje in tears leave us shattered,
Making us to want to say
"Bajai, if you meet god, tell them to give baje courage to handle this"
And we know you'll be lookimg after him from heaven.

I couldn't bid you last goodbyes,
And Attend your last rites
And tell you i love you
