Hey, so I put the names of all the people I follow on Twitter into a sort of hat and three names came out; Stephen Fry, Tom Hiddleston and Alexia (a friend of mine).

First, you have to understand that this is not some club or society or even a real attempt to change the world. This is just me wanting to try something out, maybe a good thing, maybe a stupid silly thing. But hey! Qui ne tente rien n'a rien!

When you're a kid, let's say around eight or nine, you have many friends or people you like to be around and play and talk with. And when you're that young, there is no such thing as shyness, or social awkwardness; you don't feel completely wrong _(I'd like to add -in your ideas but at that age your world is about the Power Rangers and OuiOui- at least mine was so...)_ and you don't feel out of place with people coming from a different world.

Plus, meeting new friends is easy right?

-Hi! My name is [insert your kid self here]

-Hi! I'm [...]! Do you like horses?-Do you wanna play with me?

Simple right? But think, now, as an adult. How many social rules do we have to obey by?

_(I'm not saying there shouldn't be any but... these are no true rules, agree?)_

How often do we feel out of place or do we underestimate people and ourselves?

How often do we use these tiny little life-ruiners words:

I can't

I wouldn't

She/He wouldn't ?

Do you take the train? Or the bus? When you're in a public area on your own, you would spend between 10 minutes and say... 3 hours with the same strangers. _(And I'm not mentioning the daily journey or the usual places)_

Ever wandered what was her job? If he had children? Or simply What book is she reading right now? What song is he listening to? Right in front of you, that stranger there, might even have the same taste as you or an opinion to share...

But you CAN'T ask them, you couldn't. Because it's not something you do, it's not in your nature, because you would disturb the person. Because it's something considered as crossing boundaries.

Well that' s kind of all I wanted to say. There's nor real point in it, it's simply something I'm trying to do more, something we should all try once or twice, there is some pretty good stories and people out there. I just wanted to point this out, to see if I was the only one thinking it? See if I could start a new conversation, debate.

Maybe it will change a life -to talk. To ask a name. Or ask about the latest movie to a complete stranger. Might be the friendship of a lifetime. Or just a nice smile and a good way to spend ten minutes or a train journey.
