When you arrive, walk right to the end of the drive and you'll see the cottage (green doors) and entrance to the other rooms, bathroom and kitchen (white doors). The rooms will be unlocked, so just make yourself at home.
BUS
If you turn left out of the house then take the first left onto Burnbrae Street and walk right down to Colombo Street, you’ll find plenty of bus options. The Blue line gets you into town. Also see www.metroinfo.co.nz
FOOD
If you turn right out of the house and walk down Gamblins Road, there’s a supermarket at the end of the street (5 mins walk). There are also cafes and restaurants the other direction on Colombo Street. Turn left out of the house and take the first left onto Burnbrae St and walk right down to Colombo St. There you’ll find:

HOT WATER
In the unlikely event that you run out of hot water, simply walk around behind the house to where the gas bottles are. Turn the big white dial all the way around to the other side and it will switch onto the full new bottle. Ensure that this bottle’s tap is set to ‘open’.
TO DO
•ReStart container mall, Cardboard Cathedral, Christchurch Museum are all interesting and free
•Victoria Street for nice cafes and restaurants
•Lyttelton for a bohemian, harbour-side village feel
•Sumner is a nice beach-side village
•She Café in Governors Bay has yummy chocolate and it’s a nice drive around the peninsula
•On Saturday the Riccarton Dean’s Bush market has lovely food and a great walk through the bush
RECYLING AND RUBBISH
Paper, plastic and metal recycling goes in the yellow bins. Food waste in the green bins. Rubbish for the landfill in the red bins
CHECKOUT
When you leave, simply ensure your rubbish is in one of the bins provided. Towels can be left in your room.
