/p Before we go in, I'd like to share with all of you a few quick guidelines for this event before revealing what your task will be for the eve... <wait.4>
/p Firstly, in order to best enjoy the maze we have created - please walk! It will make your experience much better. <wait.6>
/p Secondly, please try not to clip through the maze's walls or furnishings. <wait.3>
/p We appreciate that you may be curious, but if our staff catch you doing this, you will be warned, and, at worst, be asked to leave the maze <wait.6>
/p Thirdly, this event is entirely in character, and as such we endeavor to maintain the atmosphere of the maze as much as possible! <wait.4>
/p You will be going through the maze together as a group, so please try to keep OOC chat private. <wait.4>
/p This will keep things spooky for both you and our staff! <wait.3>
/p Lastly, we suggest setting your screen's gamma settings as low as possible and disable character nameplates. <wait.5>
/p And if you want a REAL challenge - try doing this in 1st person view! <wait.6>
/p When everyone's ready, let me know and I'll let you inside - then the fun begins!








Game 1 - Find the treats
/p "The Spirit of All Saint's Wake has somehow lost track of all of the goodie baskets he was going to leave out for the children of Eorzea! Please, find all of the treats scattered through the Lost Light Labyrinth and bring them to the Spirit of All Saint's Wake!" <wait.6>
/p ((There are a number of pumpkin treat baskets scattered throughout the maze! See if you can find all of them, then find the ghostly Spirit of All Saint's Wake at the end of the maze and tell him how many you found! Good luck!))








Game 2 - race to the finish
/p "Mister Pumpkin went into the Labyrinth earlier to do some cleaning, but he hasn't come out yet! <wait.4>
/p I'm afraid if he stays in there too long, the candle in his lantern will go out and he'll be lost forever! <wait.4>
/p Please take this spirit candle and find Mister Pumpkin before the flame goes out!" <wait.6>
/p ((This is a timed run to the end of the maze where Mister Pumpkin is waiting - you will have two minutes to find the end of the maze! Remember, no running!))<wait.4>
/em hands you a ghostly Spirit Candle! <se.3><wait.1>
/p "Please hurry! Reach the end before the candle burns out!" ((120 seconds remaining!)) <wait.30>
/p The Spirit Candle has melted down quite a bit... ((90 seconds remaining!)) <wait.30>
/p The Spirit Candle is more than halfway gone! ((60 seconds remaining!)) <wait.30>
/p The Spirit Candle is just a stub of what it once was... ((30 seconds remaining!)) <wait.20>

---note for game 2, have a /cancelmacro command ready to stop the timer early if someone manages to find the end before it runs out. I'll call it out in the event LS if they find me






Game 3 - rescue the lost adventurer
/p "Oh dear, one of the adventurers I let into the maze earlier hasn't come back out yet. I really hate to bother all of you, but do you think you could find them and help them get out of the maze? Oh, and try not to lead any of the maze dwellers out - it just wouldn't do if they escaped..." <wait.6>
/p ((Find the lost adventurer - but make sure you have the right one! They were last seen wearing....))

---note for game 3, just pick a descriptive feature of one of our maze staff member's costumes, leave it to the runners to figure out what it means---
