Kota Salem adalah salah satu kota sihir dunia. Kota ini berada di Amerika Serikat. Sekian banyak peninggalan sihir ada di Salem Witch Museum. Museum ini menampilkan banyak patung lilin yg menggambarkan pemilik ilmu hitam yang terkenal dan penyiksaan terhadap para pemegang ilmu hitam.
Salem tempat terjadinya pengadilan penyihir terbesar di AS.Abad ke 17, kota Salem percaya adanya iblis yg membawa wabah penyakit/malapetaka. Di kota Salem pada tahun 1692, 19 orang mati digantung, 1 orang dibunuh dengan cara ditindih batu, dan 7 orang mati disiksa di penjara.
Alasan sebenarnya mereka dibunuh adalah karena beberapa gadis belia menuduh mereka penyihir tanpa bukti yang konkrit. Jadi setelah beberapa tahun berlalu gadis-gadis itu mengaku mengarang semua cerita hanya karena iseng saja nak. Setelah menyadari konsekuensi leluconnya, mereka terlalu takut untuk mengaku dan menyebabkan 27 orang dihukum mati.
