3. The melting and boiling points increase atomic number, and all of the transition metals are malleable and ductile. Every transition metal has a high tendency to lose electrons.
4. I would classify halogens as non metals because none of the halogens are ductile or malleable and all of the halogens have a low tendency to lose electrons.
5. I could classify lanthanides as metals because they are nearly all ductile and malleable, and mostly have a high tendency to lose electrons.
6A. Silicon and germanium exhibit properties of metals. The main properties of metals are bing malleable and ductile, while having a high tendency to lose electrons.
6B. Arsenic, Antimony, Tellurion, Polonium, and Boron all have the properties of non metals. These properties are not being malleable or ductile, and a low tendency to lose electrons.
7. Alkaline earth metals have a very high melting and boiling point, while alkali metals have very low boiling and melting points.
8. Both halogens and noble gasses have a very low tendency to lose electrons.
9. Transition metals have a high tendency to lose electrons, and lanthanides also have a high tendency to lose electrons.
10. Radon, Xenon, Krypton, Argon, Chlorine, Neon, Fluorine, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium, and Hydrogen all exist as gases at room temperature.
