Mantra Dibagi menjadi dua :
1) Mantra Verbal (diucapkan)
2) Mantra Non-verbal (tidak diucapkan)
Penjelasam mengenai jenis-jenis mantra itu sendiri , ada 7 jenisnya.
1) Charm Spell
Yaitu mantra yang sifatnya merubah kelakuan target. bukan merubah bentuk target tapi lebih kepada menambah / mengurangi hal-hal pada sang target. dan efek mantra jenis charm lebih tahan lama dibandingkan jenis mantra lainnya.
2) Kedua ( Transfiguration spell )
Yaitu mantra pengubah bentuk.
3) Ketiga ( Jinx )
Yaitu, Mantra yang biasanya untuk mengganggu/ memberikan efek jengkel kepada target dan biasanya digunakan untuk lelucon dan keisengan belaka.
4) Empat ( Hex Spell )
Yaitu, Mantra yang biasanya dimaksudkan untuk menyebabkan tingkat tertentu rasa sakit dan ketidak nyamanan.
5) Kelima ( Curse Spell
Diantara mantra lain jenis Curse dapat menimbulkan tingkat kerusakan paling tinggi. Karena kebanyakan efek curse adalah merusak, menyakiti dan membunuh.
6) Keenam ( Healing Spell )
Yaitu, Mantra yang memiliki efek menyembuhkan bagian tubuh dari makhluk hidup yang terluka.
7) Terakhir, Counter Spell
Yaitu, Mantra jenis ini digunakan untuk menghambat, menghapus,dan meniadakan efek mantra lain.
