Holyhead Harpies adalah klub Wales yang sangat tua. Tepatnya dibentuk pada tahun 1203.
Sejak dahulu, di antara tim-tim Quidditch di seluruh dunia mereka dianggap unik karena memiliki satu ciri khas yaitu menggunakan penyihir-penyihir sewaan.
Jubah Harpies berwarna hijau tua dengan cakar keemasan di bagian dadanya.
Kemenangan Harpies atas Heidelberg Harriers pada tahun 1953 secara umum disepakati sebagai salah satu permainan Quidditch paling Indah yang pernah ditonton.
Permainan itu berlangsung lebih dari tujuh hari, dan berakhir dengan tangkapan Snitch spektakuler yang dilakukan oleh Seeker Harpies, Glynnis Griffiths.
Ada kisah terkenal tentang kapten Harriers, Rudolf Brand, yang turun dari sapunya pada akhir pertandingan, lalu meminang anggota tim lawan, Gwendolyn Morgan, yang telah membuatnya gegar otak dengan sapu Cleansweep Five-nya.
