Technoblade, a Minecraft YouTuber was killed at the age of 23. His family has posted an emotional video of his funeral on his behalf.

The video, which was titled "solong nerds", was posted to his 10 million followers and showed his father calling him "the most amazing kid anyone could ever wish for".

The US internet star gained fame by streaming live and uploading videos of him playing the sandbox videogame.

In January of this year, Technoblade revealed to fans that he had been diagnosed with cancer.

The farewell message written just moments before his death and read by his father, began: "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. This is what you should be looking at. MINECRAFT LIST I am dead."

He then revealed that his real name was Alex. He also recalled the time he tricked viewers to believe his name be Dave.

"Thank you all for your support of my content throughout the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred years to live I'm sure I'd choose to be Technoblade each time since those were the most enjoyable years of my life."

The online star, who has won Minecraft tournaments and legions of fans talking about his life in a humorous way when playing the game, explained in a fundraising video posted in February that he had been through chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb salvage procedure after he was diagnosed with a painful tumour in his right arm.

He died of sarcoma which is a rare bone and soft tissue cancer.

In August 2021, he announced the diagnosis of cancer. He said that he initially believed that the pain that he was experiencing was due to an injury sustained from excessive gaming. He was diagnosed with cancer when his arm began to swell.

There isn't much information about Technoblade who kept his true identity concealed until the end. However, his online avatar was a picture of a crown pig.

His YouTube channel has 10.8 million subscribers. His bio reads: "I play too many video games. Although I'm not the most skilled, I do have hot elbows.

'Strategizing in heaven'

In the wake of announcement of his death his gamers, friends and YouTubers paid tribute on the internet.

J Schlatt recalled, "I'll never forget that day I met Technoblade." "I left my job early to take part in an Minecraft tournament. I didn't know how to play... but the dude managed to keep us entertained throughout the entire event.

"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll be a legend for the rest of your life."

YouTuber Captain Puffy also known as Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with the utmost respect. I was never denied from anything." He couldn't be more generous!"

She said, "Thanks for everything you have done for the community. It will never be the same without you."

Tommy Innit said: "Technoblade is a legend. I can't express how thankful I am to have been in his life from being a huge fan to being one of his closest friends. I can tell he's planning in heaven on how to beat God ..."

Ludwig Ahgren added, "I've been watching Technoblade's shows for more than an hour." "He was so funny and humble even in the toughest of times. He will always be a role model for me."

Quackity also expressed his appreciation on the internet, writing: "I had to have the chance to express my admiration for Technoblade, not only for his huge impact on the world, but also for his humour that is amazing, even in the darkest of times." I will miss him so very much."

Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May you rest and be at peace."

Technoblade's father thanked fans during the farewell video, noting: "You meant a lot to him."

He explained that a percentage of the profits from online orders for the merchandise of his son's passing will now go to charities.

The video concluded with a written statement by his family. It read: "We, Technoblade, wanted you all to know how much he loved and respected his colleagues and fans."

Technoblade was online since the beginning of his existence. He was always looking for ways to delight and reward his followers. He gave away prizes online and encouraged good sportsmanship and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.

"Even after his eventual successes he somehow managed to keep his good-natured modesty, competing with a charming balance of confidence and self-deprecating humor."

Minecraft lets users create their own the world of imagination by digging holes to gather blocks.

Recent updates to the game have been utilized to help children explore and develop their skills and knowledge in the field of careers and to discover solutions to real world problems such as flooding.

Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly hilarious" and "endlessly talented". He said, "Gone too quickly."

Bad Boy Halo also paid their respects by stating: "Words cannot express how you'll miss. The lives you've touched and the impact you've left on them will be remembered for a lifetime."

Slimecicle said Technoblade's "personality and sense of humor, and sense of humor were an inspiration to him and so many others."

"Thanks for all you have done to make this a better world, you will always be a legend."
