Pneumothorax (collapsed lung) or pneumothorax ("collapsed lung"), perforation ("hole in the wall, or the bowels of the lung) and pneumonia (a bacteria-related infection that affects the lung) and pleural fluid (excess fluid between the lungs).
Avanos Mediacal Cortrak 2 Avanos Medical issued on March 21, 2022, a correction notice to its customers who use these devices between January 20,21 and January 20,22. The notice included the following information:
Verify the location of Nasogastric tubes and the nasoenteric tube in accordance with the institution's policies.
Attach the corrective notice in the field in the operator's manual.
