In this guide I will show you how to increase the RAM utilized by Minecraft step by step in the latest Minecraft launcher version.



If you are using an older Minecraft launcher version or use an alternative launcher to the official, you can follow the same process however you'll have to find the arguments options by yourself.



Let's begin without further delay.





Step 1: Check Available Memory

This should be your first step. However, if you know the amount of memory your computer has, you are able to move on to the next step.



Open the File Explorer, right-click on This Computer and then in the menu click Properties






A new window will appear and you will be required to navigate to the section Systems. You can view the memory available on your computer under the line Installed memory (RAM)



Now, one thing you need to keep in mind is to not use too much memory on Minecraft.






Half of your memory is a good option. In this instance, I will use 2GB of my 4GB Ram.

1. Start the Minecraft Launcher and login into your account.
