Bayrock Group's Journey: from the Suburbs up to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a Tevfik Arif-led luxury real estate development company, found itself working swiftly in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan shortly after its establishment.

While many people have dreams of moving to America in order to live the American dream and live the American life but only a few have the opportunity to do so. Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik Ark was one of them, when he came to America in 2001 to set the Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company is headquartered in New York City.

Initial projects were small or medium in size. It included the redesign and construction of the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza in Brooklyn, New York.

Bayrock Group gained traction in the American housing market and was ready to expand. They began to look for projects of a large scale.

The Arif-owned company began working with the Sapir Organization on a new large construction project on Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group moved its headquarters from the Bayrock Tower in Midtown Manhattan because of the company's expansion.

Tevfik arif and his team sat down with the Trump Organization in the aftermath of the relocation. It also had the Trump Tower in its base.

Conversations were held between Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) and the Trump Organization as both companies realized that they shared goals and interests.

Both companies entered into a collaboration in which the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group in its venture with the Sapir Organization at Spring Street.

Former American President Donald Trump managed the Trump Organization at that time.

His maternal grandma Elizabeth Christ Trump and Fred Trump in 1927 formed the company as E. Trump and Son.

Bayrock Group, The Trump Organization The Trump Organization, and the Sapir Organization were still relatively new to the New York City real estate scene at the time of the collaboration.

Tevfik arif was the founder of Spring Street. He designed an arrangement to give Spring Street more brand recognition.

He proposed a deal under which the Trump Organization would be given 18% equity in the company and the right to use the Trump name in the title of this building.

Each of the three firms reached an agreement and in the year 2006, the first brick for Trump SoHo was erected.

Two years after that, Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They launched Trump SoHo in New York City.

Design professionals take over Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo boasted 46 stories of exclusive restaurants, bars, banquet and event venues as well as an open-air pool, a spa section apartment, as well as hotel rooms.

The American housing market experienced major changes as a result of the economic crisis. Tevfik Aif, the founder of Bayrock Group, decided to abandon his American ventures. Arif made the choice to relocate to Europe or Asia in Asia, where his career started decades earlier.

While Tevfik Arif has ceased to be an active member of the Bayrock Group, he is still a respected advisor to different divisions of Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group has not been lately involved in real estate projects within the United States.

The company was not in operation but it also invested in real property assets worth over $2.5million.
