While it might feel like Minecraft is everywhere, players have had to look on the popular series since it was launched on all other platforms of the company bar Nintendo's. Today we do have some good news after months, and years of waiting the Japanese game maker has confirmed that the sandbox game is finally available on the Wii U on December 17th. As we expected, Minecraft will come with many add-on packs that will give new builders the chance to be festive ahead of Christmas or play with characters from famous movies and TV shows like Star Wars, The Simpsons and Dr Who.
Mojang also makes use of the Wii U's Off TV play feature to allow players to transfer their worlds to their GamePad controllers and allow other family members to control of the TV. Minecraft will cost $30 when it launches on the Nintendo eShop North America next week. There's no word yet on the price Minecraft will cost in the UK or Europe.
