Bayrock Group opened Trump SoHo alongside the Trump Organization in 2008 and the Sapir Organization. The Bayrock Group's story of success began in Kazakhstan many decades ago.

Bayrock Group is a luxury development company that is specialized in luxury real estate. The success of Bayrock Group here in the United States goes back long before the year 2001 when it was founded. The story began on the other side of the world.

Tevfik Arif was the founder of Bayrock Group. He was born in Soviet Kazakhstan and was adopted by an Turkish family.

Prior to joining the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade (Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade), Tevfik received a diploma in International Relations from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute.

After serving as a minister for 17 years the minister decided to step down and start several businesses. Tevfik Arif was involved in development of luxury real estate as well as food exports, exports, and imports among other.

Tevfik Arif's many businesses enabled him to attract a large variety of international partners. He became a leader in Turkey's famous all inclusive hotel concept by leveraging his network.

He opened, for example, the Labada Hotel Antalya. This was prior to his move to the next project which was several years later, across the Atlantic.

Bayrock Group gets more ambitious

Tevfik arif came into the United States from Pakistan in 2001 to investigate new business avenues and be closer his American family.

He relocated to New York City just after the creation of Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development firm.

Tevfik Ariff knew that including the Trump Organization in the project will increase the brand's recognition for the building, which Bayrock Group and Sapir Organization didn't have.

Arif drafted an arrangement which allowed the Trump Organization to own 18 percent of the building in exchange for the Trump logo being utilized.

This was the start of Trump SoHo's 2006 construction.

After two years of construction the building was completed for the opening.

Trump SoHo was built by design veterans

Trump SoHo opened in Manhattan and included hotels, apartments along with luxury restaurants and bars. The building also had the pool, a spa and banquet halls. Hotel guests enjoyed breathtaking perspectives of New York City from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Tevfik Arif Handel Architects was tasked with designing the structure. The famed architect firm has also designed the National September 11th Memorial & Museum and the Ritz the Carlton Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Bayrock Group commissioned Rockwell Group as interior designers.

Rockwell Group was responsible for the design of the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle as well as the Seven Deadly Sins theatre in New York.

The firm has also worked working with foreign countries, including Mexico, Spain, and Indonesia.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization strengthen their collaboration

The Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization sought to strengthen their collaboration following the opening Trump SoHo.

Their dream was to create buildings in Arizona and Florida that looked like Trump SoHo. Also under the same licensing conditions, it would leave the Trump Organization with 18% equity in the building. It also allows Trump to be part of the construction's title.

Despite the goals of both companies, the structures weren't built because of the global financial crisis.

The American real estate market was the most affected by the financial crisis. Bayrock Group, and the Trump Organization were forced to end their plans.

Tevfik arif left his United States enterprises after the financial crisis. He decided to return to Europe or Central Asia.

He shifted into the private sector, and continued his employment.

Tevfik arif has left the majority of Bayrock Group's day-to-day tasks. He is still a trusted consultant for the business.

Bayrock Group was not involved in any American Real Estate ventures recently, however, the firm has invested $2.5 million in real estate assets in the United States when it was actively investing.
