My son turned 9 on the day I posted this! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. The easiest way to design one is to search for ideas from other people! So I created this board. Sunny By Design had many great things. Here's my ode to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. These tiny Chubby drinks. You can tear off the paper and put it on your faces.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have dipped them in red melted chocolate but time was running out. The slime balls were supposed to be green jello squares, but that was left home in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi beans!



Sorry for the blurry photo. I started making tiny TNT bundles, then decided to not, and placed them in a glass instead. My favorite part of the event was when my exclamation "There are plenty of fruits and vegetables left!" I'm going to put them in your bags of loot even if you don't consume the fruits and veggies right now. The food was being consumed as there was an audible woosh at the table. :



The cake was actually an actual brownie. I decided to leave the edges uniced since the brownie would be more crumbly. The icing was made of Fluffy Boiled Frosting. It wasn't too sweet. We had made too many cakes so I made meringue puffs. I took them home as well.



Here's something I learned: To make meringue, beat your egg whites. bake at 350 degrees and then add them to the oven, then turn off the oven, and allow to cool down. It's simple.



Signs and grass leaves were taken from Sizzix dies. The older ones, the big honkin', thick ones. urbanislovar You can do it with the cuttlebug with B plates on the bottom and the top of the die. Do not use the A plate a t all. We rented the local arena to let loose some party energy.



We go to the general skating every week. This kid has come a long way over the past few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



The loot inside. I don't like loot bags that contain a lot of tiny things. So I made hand-made creeper cookies that took 2 days, and a trip to the local bakery to freeze (Thanks Flying Fox) as well as the CD of Minecraft Parodies. I found the title on YouTube and gave it to my husband to allow him to use to create his magic. Then I gave him a few other snacks.



It's over with the birthday party! (paper characters)



It was a blast!



Edited May 8: Wow, you are probably on a frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we would not do for our kids. This post has received nearly 10,000 hits so far. In my world, that's quite a amount.
