Yes, since opinion leaders define as the ones who are highly exposed to and actively using media, that results in being the source of viable interpretation of messages for lower-end media users. The public that is more involved in media and performs the same functions that professionals journalist do can influence other people and give additional information by making their own opinion about the interpretation of what they analyze about the report from media. For instance, citizen journalists empower local communities, as it helps get local citizens more involved in the events affecting their lives. It also brings individuals together to make a positive change in their community.

No, since not all journal categories are opinion-only. The function of social journalism may be similar to citizen journalism. Still, social journalism cannot automatically be opinion leaders because journalist expects to deliver a credible and reliable source of information. They should be professionals for the rigors of the job.

To be clear, an Opinion Leader is a person who uses media regularly and explains what messages or content mean to people who don't use media as much. Most of the time, people who agree with the opinion leader greatly respect them. This makes it clear that influencers are a type of opinion leaders. To be a leader of opinion, you need to look at the news and write your thoughts. If people agree with how you see things, you are, by definition, an opinion leader.
