My Story was Inspired by the Theme of The Event

Tubecon is a worldwide community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and their audiences in arena-sized public events. My world my life The first Tubecon was held in August 2014 at Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with more than 5,000 people attending. Since then, Tubecon has been organized 25 times across four different countries (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with an overall attendance of more than 120,000 people attending all events. Tubecon has seen a dramatic increase in popularity over time and so has the YouTube and online influencer community. The biggest Tubecon events have attracted more than 18,000 people and featured more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon event program is developed in collaboration with local online influencers and includes multiple program elements like Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards panels and concerts. Tubecon 2018 will be held in Finland, Sweden and Germany and letters of intent were signed in Romania, Latvia, and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The Tubecon story began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to organize an event that they and their viewers could meet each other in a safe and fun way. [4]



Performers[edit]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 took place at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12-13 August 2016. The second day was sold out. The event attracted 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden had its beginning on January 6, 2016 in Stockholm with more than 4500 attendees. They also held an autumn tour, that began on 9 September in Vasteras and ended on 10 December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities. More than 15,000 people attended Tubecon events in Sweden in 2016.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany on 20 February 2016 in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted a crowd of around 17,500. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain event took place at Madrid's wiZink Centre on 18 February. The event saw around 4,000 visitors and over 200 Spanish creators in attendance. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was organized for the first time at Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. The event was attended by 2,500 people. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held for the first time in Messukeskus Helsinki on 17-18 August. The theme for the event was "My Story". The event featured approximately 200 Finnish YouTubers. Tubecon hosted also international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were some of the international creators. A brand new TubeCity concept was introduced during the event. This allowed different genres, including gaming, beauty, fashion, and food, to have their own sections within the city-like event space. Tubecon introduced Tube Academy as a brand new educational track, which was open to creators and anyone interested in learning more about video production and the industry. [12]
