Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? If you remember that enormous Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that was made playable in an alpha version earlier this year. This mod recreates Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry in a massive RPG and map game that is part of Mojang's block builders vanilla. Now you can go to Hogwarts using Minecraft.



This map was brought to you by modding group The Floo Network, the team behind this huge and impressive creation. They announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map's launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Get your wands ready! We are finally releasing our map. It's an interactive RPG for vanilla Minecraft!" The post also includes the unveiling of the new download trailer. It is available below.



The humble title of the project"Witchcraft and Wizardry: The Floo Network' doesn't do justice to the value it brings to the table. As you can see in the clip below, nearly all of the iconic features of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully brick-by-brick. There are photos of Hogwarts the vast, intricate network of dungeons and halls as well as towers and classrooms that are populated with nuisances and magical creatures from the series. We're not certain if there exists a Minecraft Hogwarts Seed that will magically create the exact replica. Planet Minecraft has it available for download. It's worth noting, the creators recommend Witchcraft and Wizardry is currently only available for the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 to 1.16.4).



If you're running the Bedrock Edition on a PC, you won't have this version.





Harry Potter Minecraft features

Where exactly do you go in this Minecraft Hogwarts map? You can explore Privet Drive, which is a picturesque suburb, and the entire Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the halls you will find a massive banquet filled with delicious food and candles hung as if by magic. There's also the many staircases and hallways, adorned with paintings of famous students from the school's past and a library full of massive bookshelves.



It's more than a map. You can use your magical wand and explore dungeons filled with challenges based on magic. You can also shop with your friends in Diagon Alley or encounter some of the terrifying Dementors and Cornish Pixies. You can even play Quidditch!



The map has been updated with an entire RPG storyline. Everything from purchasing your first wand, schoolbooks, and robes in Diagon Alley to learning your first flight lesson at Hogwarts. We won't reveal any of the major story details, but let's suggest that you might have to summon the Patronus Charm to ward off any possible villains lurking in the dark...



The most exciting part is that you can see Hagrid, Minecraft Hogwarts' favourite half-giant tending to his gamekeeping duties. "Thank you for all your kindness and support throughout this project," the creators say in the mod's Discord server. "This map has taken us years to complete and without your encouragement and love, we wouldn't have made it this far. We are delighted to present the final map to you!
