Minecraft Hogwarts: how to Play This Cool Minecraft Harry Potter RPG Map

Looking for the Hogwarts map in Minecraft? If you're a fan of the huge Harry Potter Minecraft map mod that was released as a playable alpha version earlier in the year. This mod recreates Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry in a huge map and RPG game within Mojang's block builders. Now you can jump into Hogwarts with Minecraft.



This map is created by The Floo Network, a modding group that has created this impressive and huge creation. They also announced the Minecraft Hogwarts map launch on Planet Minecraft. "Hello everyone! Get your wands ready! We're finally releasing our brand-new map, an interactive RPG in vanilla Minecraft!" the post announces, alongside the reveal of its new download trailer that you can watch below.



The title of the creation"Witchcraft and Magic - The Floo Network' doesn't do justice the value it offers. As you can see in the clip below, all the iconic aspects of Hogwarts and the world of the Harry Potter books are represented faithfully brick-by-brick. There are images of Hogwarts the vast, intricate network of dungeons, halls, and other rooms as well as towers and classrooms that are populated with nuisances and magical creatures from the Harry Potter series. We're not sure if there is a Minecraft Hogwarts Seed that will magically create an exact replica. Here's how to get the best Minecraft Harry Potter map to experience the magic for yourself.



How to get the Hogwarts map in Minecraft



If you want to dive into The Floo Network's Minecraft Hogwarts map It is available to download at Planet Minecraft. It is important to note that the creators recommend Witchcraft and Wizardry is currently only available for the Java Edition of Minecraft (versions 1.16 up to 1.16.4).



You won't be allowed to play this game if you're using the Bedrock Edition available on PC.



Harry Potter Minecraft features



So where exactly can you go in this Minecraft Hogwarts map? You can explore Privet Drive, a beautiful suburb, and the entire Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. When you enter the school's rooms, you can find huge banquet filled with delicious food and candles hanging as if from a fairytale. There are many hallways and staircases decorated with paintings of famous students and libraries stuffed with towering bookshelves.



It's not just a simple map, as you can use your magic wand, explore the dungeons of a magical adventure, go shopping with friends in Diagon Alley, or even encounter the amazing creatures such as the Cornish Pixies or the terrifying Dementors. Quidditch is also available!



The map has been updated to include a full RPG storyline, with all the Harry Potter trimmings you might expect. Everything from purchasing your first wand, school books and robes at Diagon Alley, to experiencing your first flight lesson at Hogwarts. We won't spoil any of the major story surprises but we will tell you that you may need to cast the Patronus Charm in order to ward off any potential baddies lurking under the shadows.



The most exciting part is that you will find Hagrid, Minecraft Hogwarts' favourite half-giant tending to his gamekeeping tasks. "Thank you for all your kind words and support throughout this project," the creators say on the mod's Discord server. "This map took us many years to complete and, without your love and support, we would not have been able to make it this far." We are thrilled to present the final map to you!
