Technoblade, Minecraft YouTuber Watched by Millions, Died at 23 after Yearlong Battle With Cancer

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has passed away at 23 after a year-long battle with cancer, his family announced on Friday.



In a YouTube video titled "so long geeks", the father of the creator of the content shared a final message from his son to his followers.



"Hello everyone, Technoblade is here," began the message. "If you're watching this. I am dead."



Technoblade who kept his identity a secret and kept his identity a secret, revealed his real name as Alex in the video. Technoblade also thanked his fans for their support, buying merchandise, and channel memberships and joked that his siblings "are going to college."

Technoblade has accumulated more than 11 million YouTube subscribers and 3.7million Twitter followers in just a decade. In August 2021, he went public by telling his followers that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He announced the news by posting a video of himself playing Minecraft.



Technoblade's father has said that Technoblade sent his last message eight hours before his death. Technoblade's father, who was unable to hold back tears, said that his son was "the most wonderful child" anyone could ask for. He added: "I miss Technoblade."

TommyInnit Another YouTuber who is well-known wrote on Twitter: "Technoblade, a legend. I cannot express how grateful I am to be an enormous fan and close friend of his. He's planning in heaven how to defeat God I'm sure of that.



Sarcoma Foundation of America sent a statement to CNN, paying tribute to Technoblade and offering condolences to his family.



Brandi Felser is the CEO of the charity. This enabled SFA to award research grants in Technoblade's name. Through these efforts, he leaves his legacy that will affect generations."



Felser said that Technoblade will be recognized by the organization's Courage Award, an annual honor given to individuals who inspire others "to bring hope and a better world for the sarcoma community" in the course of this year.
