This Minecraft Redstone For Dummies Video Explains Everything

Minecraft Redstone is, in our opinion, quite complex. While the fundamental theory behind it is simple enough, the sheer amount of possibilities you can accomplish with it, and the variety of different mechanisms involved in those things makes it difficult to comprehend for novices. That's not the case for the three Redstone masters.



CraftyMasterman is the name you may remember as the one who created a working Minesweeper in Minecraft. He got together with two other creators to look over some Redstone videos. While the idea is that they're judging the work of others, it also is a great introduction to the history of this fantastic material. They talk about all the new gadgets they have since 2011.



It's clear that things have become much easier. They talk about an old technique called Bussing which required the construction of hundreds of blocks in order to perform simple tasks such as opening and closing doors. The final video is from ROUK0214 who uses a mixture of different devices, blocks and water to create a stunning fireworks display. The display counts itself in and then explodes into a rainbow of colours frame-by-frame. This is impressive enough and complicated enough that even the three experts are having a difficult time understanding how they managed to make it all work.
