The Professional Gambler
I want to start out by explaining what this article is about or more precisely, what it is not about. The Professional Gambler isn't the flashy player that you see creating a lot of noise and drawing attention to his. The professional gambler won't make the high-roller wagers. The true professional is an eloquent, serious and silent player. Professional gamblers know that in order to remain ahead in the game, you must consider gambling as a business; a profitable business.

The professional gambler doesn't "go out for a evening (or or a day) of betting." The professional would never assume that they'd be out playing all the night. The professional will usually decide within 30 minutes whether they will continue playing or to stop. When a professional gambler goes to play, it's specifically designed to succeed, not to amuse himself and others. It's work. This is work. It is impossible to predict the time it will take either to be able to win or lose enough. However, an experienced player can recognize these limitations and possess the discipline and capability to take action accordingly.

There is internet that you've played with a professional at times. You probably wouldn't remember that. One thing that could really draw attention to an experienced player is when the player wins, and then stops. The player isn't happy to play and keeps moving because they're "out for the night" of betting. If professional gamblers are looking to be entertained, they go see an event or movie. Gambling isn't just an "activity" in the way that many people view it. It is possible to gamble all night long in Vegas or Atlantic City. This is what a avid gamblers do. They find it very easy to rationalize...something like this; "Well I played all night and it only cost me $200. This is a reasonable price for entertainment and drinks free. This is the tourist mentality. Oh sure, you might hear stories of how someone was in Vegas and won millions. It can happen. It's likely. But, you will likely be hearing the story that says:
"I was up to 3 or 4 hundred dollars, but I was able to recover it." Professionals will never make such a claim. If someone is gambling for a profit and realizes that 3-4 hundred dollars is a healthy profit and will soon be gone.

Professional gamblers are militant. They're not there to race. The pro is there to make a profit. It's not that long to be a winner or loser, and certainly not every day. It is possible to catch a winning streak, but the pros will be aware of the streak and keep riding through to the conclusion. But more times than not the game of a pro will last only long enough to make the days profit or to be unable to make the maximum profit for the day. If a professional makes a huge profit, there is no chance that the casino will ever get that winnings ever again. The casino cannot afford to lose the professional.

In terms of systems professionals are more knowledgeable than to believe that there's actually any system that can reliably beat the casinos no matter what game you are playing. The most successful strategies and betting methods are employed by professional gamblers to increase their chances of winning. Only a few decisions will be made during the course of play. Most of the decisions of pros are made prior to the start of the game. Professionals stick to their current strategies and betting patterns. There is no way to witness the pros "chase his winnings." Pros can and will accept occasional losses. It happens. I like to compare the professional gambler with a salesperson that works strictly on commission. There will be occasions where you make zero money or even lose money when you take into account travel expenses... Instead, the skilled gambler is able to see the whole of his game. It's not about "how much did you win or lose today?" rather, "how much am I ahead of the rest of the month or year?"

play free are an area I'd like to talk about. They're in a league in their own! Some poker players don't consider themselves as gamblers. apps contend that poker is a sport of expertise and are very skillful. All that I have written above does not really apply to the professional player. In the coming months I will likely write an article on the subject. They're certainly a fascinating breed!
