If you're already on Xbox Game Pass you can also be ready to play the game on day one by installing the game prior to its launch on console or PC - starting today.

Some of you might ask "What is Minecraft Dungeons?" I might ask if you've been living under a block or something, but I'd rather explain it to you: Minecraft Dungeons is our new action-adventure, dungeon crawler-style game in which up to four players battle together to defeat Arch-Illager's evil archer and his hordes of new-and-nasty mobs - one thrilling level at a time. You can do it with your friends and get access to a variety of weapons, artifacts and magical items. You can also use the weapons and enchantments to assist you.

What is Minecraft Dungeons is a Minecraft game? Minecraft Dungeons is a brand-new standalone game that is set in the Minecraft universe, with most of its blocky charm and challenges. While you may not be able to place blocks or construct a home out of cobblestone, you are still an adventurer exploring the Overworld.



Are there any character classes in Minecraft Dungeons? Minecraft Dungeons has no classes. In true Minecraft spirit, it's all up for the player to develop their own style of play and character with the equipment they have. You are what you wear!



Minecraft Dungeons be available with Xbox Game Pass? The Standard Edition of Minecraft Dungeons will be included with your Xbox Game Pass membership, with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members getting access to both consoles and Windows PC. Xbox Game Pass members can also save 10 percent on related Minecraft Dungeons DLC and add-ons!



Does Minecraft Dungeons include multiplayer? If so how does it work? Just grab your controller and get started! Minecraft Dungeons supports up to four players in both local couch co-op and online co-op modes. We do not provide a couch.



Will Minecraft Dungeons support cross-platform multiplayer? At launch, you'll be playing online multiplayer with your friends on the same platform. We're working on bringing cross platform multiplayer across Xbox One and Windows 10 Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 4 in the near-term through an update that is free.



Does online multiplayer allow matchmaking? Minecraft Dungeons is designed to be played with group of friends, either on a comfortable couch or an online game that is relaxing.



Are the missions different from one game to the other? Yes. Every mission in Minecraft Dungeons consists of procedural content and well designed elements that are tied to the mission's objectives and narrative. That is, while parts of the mission are the same, the routes, mobs and treasure you find will be different every time you play.



Is there DLC? Yes! With Minecraft Dungeons - Hero Edition you'll have access to two DLC packs coming for no cost. We'll be sharing more information about these soon.



Why is it that I can't pre-order Minecraft Dungeons across all platforms? Minecraft Dungeons will be available on all platforms at launch, but is not available for pre-order on every platform. In the meantime keep an eye on the official Minecraft Dungeons channels for the latest updates.
