When an Igneous Geode Is Identified

Geodes are geode can be a type item that is randomly found when woodcutting or mining. Geodes are not traded and can be broken to acquire one of several items.

Mining[edit

Geodes are a rare item that can be obtained during mining that contains gems or other items. Mining geodes were made possible through the Mining and Smithing rework. They can be stacked with the same geode type, bankable, untradeable and stackable. A player has a 5% chance of getting a geode every time they mine ore. Benefits of levelling can increase this for core rocks, the base chance of 5% will be used for non-core rocks.



The type of geode you receive is determined by the requirements for the level of the rock, for example regular coal yields sedimentary geodes, whilst concentrated coal yields geodes that are igneous due to their higher requirements to mine them. There is a one percent chance that an igneous geode will be replaced by a metamorphic.



This is the chance that is used to calculate the base. For more precise odds that takes into account bonuses, check out the mining rate calculator. Tin and Copper require level 1 Mining. However, receiving geodes requires level 5. 1. • a b e When an igneous geode is discovered it is possible to have a 1% chance that a metamorphic geode will be obtained instead. Coal deposits with concentrated coal have the same advantages of levelling as regular coal rocks. However, you can not mine them until level 70.

These modifiers are additive to the base chance, for example mining Light animica at level 97 mining has a base 15% chance, this is increased to 23% with Refined 4, then 25% with Resourceful aura etc.[1]

Crystal geodes are gem-encrusted rocks that can be found when cutting crystal trees or while cutting trees or Ivy in Prifddinas when Voice of Seren is active in the Crwys area.

- By pressing 'Open All' on Geodes, you can now effectively stop the Mining process. You'll still receive ore and XP.





patch 7 January patch 7 January (Update): - When you mine, you have a chance to gain geodes. Apisa Gems can be found in regular geodes, and metamorphic geodes hold rare treasures. The collector's insignia enhances the chances of geode success and increases the chance of getting double ore through sandstone mining. Luck enhancers (ring of wealth, etc.) now increase the chance for geodes to be upgraded to metamorphic geodes.
