Pastor Faith healer, pastor and author Chris Oyakhilome is popular with his followers as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December 7 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest son born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon follows in in her father's example of sharing God's Word with the world. Also known by CSO, she has been an award-winning, talented gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was educated at Edo College. He then was awarded a scholarship to study architecture in Bendel State University. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity awarded by the Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he got his calling from God to enter into the ministry and to be an obedient servant of the Lord.

The Man of God who was still a student at university started what would eventually become one of the most significant churches in the world. A small prayer group named Youth for Christ’ was established. It would evolve into one of the largest and most popular institutions on campus. Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become an innovator in satellite TV and Christian television programming and production. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are available on cable and satellite networks all over the world.
