After the 11th Of January 2022 Update

A ghost can be described as undead creatures that are that is found in a variety of places and dungeons. They are the bodies and souls of the dead who are unable to go to the afterlife. This is due to a conflict they faced with their family members who are living. They can also be summoned to perform their duties by necromancers, much like zombies or skeletons.



The salve amulet effects work well for them since they are undead. Ghosts are not very effective in combat training but they can be assigned by Jacquelyn or Vannaka to slay the slayer task. They have the chance to drop the Ghost hunter armour or Ectoplasmator. Only level 50 ghosts can be summoned in the Forgotten Cemetery following the Spirit of Summer quest. They don't drop anything, but they can be found in the Wilderness. To call forth the ghosts of level 50 the player must first close the coffins then use Jennica's ring in order to enter the spirit realm at the graveyard, then open the coffins and leave the spirit realm and return after the four have been killed. The complexity and tediousness of this makes it inefficient both for ghost Slayer tasks or for profit.



Players must eliminate certain ghosts in Melzar's Maze to advance through the levels of the maze. The ghosts in Melzar's Maze can be communicated to with a Ghostspeak amulet (obtained from The Restless Ghost quest) or Cramulet; their speech hints that they were victims of the dragon Elvarg. They can heal themselves from injuries sustained in Daemonheim.



Other ghostly creatures can be classified as ghosts and count towards a Slayer assignment for ghosts. They include:



Ghostly warriors Tormented ghosts Revenants Tormented souls Ghostly fighters Ghosts with tortured souls Some ghostly creatures are not considered to be ghosts and therefore do not count towards completing an Slayer assignment for ghosts. This includes:



Aberrant spectres ankous All types of banshees and ghasts of all kinds, All types shades


Also note that the inhabitants of Port Phasmatys, the Ectofuntus, and nearby areas are ghosts, but they are not able to be attacked.

F2P Ghosts now have the ability to drop the ability Cremation along with the ghost hunter outfit.







Trivia [edit

Ghosts had the opportunity to drop the cremation ability along with four pieces of ghost hunter gear in the wake of Halloween 2014's event. Following the 11 January update in 2016, they were also given the chance to drop the herb burner that can be deployed.
