Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving parents who were devoted to their children. He is the oldest son born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. The Reverend brother of Ken (the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several top-selling gospel singers.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow in her father's footsteps of sharing the gospel of God with the world and is also called CSO, she is a talented gospel artist, award-winning and a an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education in Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned the BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received his call from God to be a minister and serving the Lord.

The Man Of God was an undergraduate student at the time He founded the church that would grow to be one of the largest worldwide. His prayer group, 'Youth For Christ,' would soon become one of the campus' most popular groups. These would go on to form LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.

Under Pastor Chris's leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world, 24 hours a day, nonstop on free-to-air networks. Today, LoveWorld television stations are accessible on satellite and cable networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. It also operates two Healing Schools located in South Africa, Canada and the US, where Pastor Chris leads seasonal sessions, in which miracles are possible.
