Rami Beracha’s advice to students of Herzliya's Interdisciplinary Center is based on his own experience. Rami is a young man who was adamant about attending law school. Though he was unsure if it was the best choice for him, he decided to continue his law schooling, earned a Master's in New York, and then worked abroad in the law firm. He realized that he was a fan more for business than he did law while working for a Wall Street law firm. He quit his job in order to travel to France to get an MBA.
Shortly after graduating from college in 1996, Beracha began working at the Pitango Venture Capital Fund Israel's biggest venture capital investment fund. Pitango is a fund that invests in businesses in the early stages of their development, in high-tech core areas. It has more than 200 investment and 85 exits. Rami was appointed the managing partner in the year 2000. In the subsequent 18 years, Pitango handled many deals that led to successful exits at Fortune 500 giants Broadcom, Marvel Cisco, Cisco, Apple, and Cisco.

Then he didn't stop there. Globes presented Beracha with the "Esteemed Partner Award" in 2011 to recognize him as an influential investor. In 2014 Rami created a new venture named Sosa. Sosa hosts innovative centers in New York (and Tel Aviv) where they collaborate with global entrepreneurs and assist innovative high tech companies. Sosa has been selected recently to lead the New York City cyber center.

This fund will support UAE high-tech enterprises that deal with virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Unique in its outlook for business, the United Arab Emirates is a unique country. It is expected to bring many companies to its doors over the coming years due to low corporate tax rates and a very business-friendly legislation.

While it is evident that Rami Beracha succeeds in everything that he's decided to pursue, his journey wasn't always so easy. Beracha, like most Israelis was a soldier in the army as a young man. He was a combat soldier with the Paratrooper's Brigade during the Lebanon War. Rami joined a rescue party that was sent to help soldiers injured in a wild minefield in 1983, just after the war. Rami fell into a concealed mine, and lost both his foot and his hand.
He was through one of the most difficult moments of his life and his hospitalization was the culmination of it. He was unable to move and fell into despair and depression. All of his dreams to advance his career in the military were lost, and he didn't know who or what he really was. Rami discovered the strength to continue living and dreaming through his pain. He decided to become even better and even stronger than before the injury. Rami decided to explore other extreme sports. Today he enjoys kitesurfing as well as snowboarding. He has also been on the mountain of Mount Kilimanjaro. He is often awed by his uncontrollable past pushing him to the limit and pushing him to the limit.
