This Minecraft Build is Fully Functional Wordle

Someone has created an Minecraft build of Wordle that is quite an accomplishment when you consider it. With Wordle being an integral part of people's mornings over the past year, it was just a matter of time before someone tried to build it in Minecraft. The staggering amount of effort that has gone into programming something like this, though it is truly amazing.



Reddit user urgle_gurgle, a dazzling name - has not only been through the process of creating a functional version of Wordle in Minecraft, but has created it in the vanilla version of the building game. He explained how they managed to achieve this and uploaded the entire thing to Curseforge to allow you to download it and play it for yourself.



We regularly see cool creations in Minecraft but the ability and savvy to pull off this one make it stand out. Urgle_gurgle explained how word checking was implemented by using "a bunch math to assign all words with a unique number (inbase26), which is then stored in an If Score command that is executed using the Python script".



Another challenge is the requirement for a daily word. While the concept is easy to understand, it's not as simple for a computer, particularly not one that you need to connect to a timezone. Redditor once again came up with a method to do it, much like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. They came up with a brand new word that is available each time you start the game to make it work.

It's difficult to wrap your head around this if you don't code however we're happy either way. You could theoretically start playing Wordle for as many times as you like, and this Minecraft build may be superior to the real Wordle.
