Out with the past, and in for the future! Hunter Today we're introducing a brand new naming convention (well, it's been a while) for Minecraft Java Edition. The last pre-release was in fact the release candidate but we're now making that more evident by changing the name to "release candidate". This means that if no major issues after this release, no further changes will be made before the final release.
The full release is coming soon If you've been living under a rock (it's Minecraft, so that's okay), we're making available the Nether Update on Tuesday, June 23. That's next week!

Download the Release Candidate
Release candidates are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. To install the release candidate, start the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the "Installations" tab.
