Fortnite Creative can be an effective to learn in the same way that Minecraft can be. It might be odd to people who are not in education anymore, but Minecraft's Education version is extremely popular, which is why Fortnite Creative has courses to help people use both.
The Epic blog posted the course recently and it is specifically designed to help "secondary educators familiarize with Minecraft how Fortnite Creative can be utilized in the classroom." It is comprised of 11 videos and shows various features and the mechanics of Fortnite Creative to demonstrate how users can make use of it to teach.
The blog post also discusses the two main differences between Minecraft and Fortnite in terms of building. Minecraft Servers List Minecraft, as you may are aware, is all about building things brick by brick, whereas Fortnite offers ready-to-use assets instead. Fortnite is theoretically more efficient to build, however it lacks the complexity offered by programming elements.
Minecraft can be utilized as a tool to teach the underlying logic behind programming, due to its complicated command blocks and Redstone mechanisms. Fortnite doesn't have the same amount of depth, however it does mimic the same freedom through different mechanics and devices. Things like the Item Placer device allows players to observe how their actions affect the world around them while they're used. This provides a more immediate feedback loop, which can, as any parent will inform you, is an essential component in teaching children. It's a bit crazy to see Fortnite openly discussing the possibility of bringing in Minecraft creators.
