The Theme for the Event was my Story

Tubecon is an international community-driven YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and audiences in large-scale public events. The first Tubecon was held in August 2014 in Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with over 5,000 visitors. [1] Since then Tubecon has been held 25 times in 4 different countries (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with altogether over 120,000 visitors in all the events. [2]



In recent years Tubecon has seen an increase in popularity, as the YouTube and online influencer community has also increased. sometimes Tubecon's biggest events attracted over 18,000 people and included more than 200 YouTubers or online influencers.



Tubecon event program is built in collaboration with local online influencers and it includes a variety of program elements like Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards panels and concerts. In 2018 Tubecon will be held in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The story of Tubecon began when two Finnish creators decided to create a safe and fun event for their viewers. [4]



Performers[edit]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 was held in Hartwall Arena, August 2015[5and attracted more than 10,000 people.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12 and 13 August in 2016. The second day was completely sold out. The event attracted 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began on January 6, 2016 in Stockholm with more than 4500 visitors. They also held a tour during autumn, which began on September 9 in Vasteras and ended on the 10th of December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators toured 8 cities in total. In 2016 more than 15,000 people visited Tubecon Sweden events.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen on February 20, 2016. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



Finnish event was organized in Hartwall Arena on 12-13 August with about 17,500 attendees. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain was held on 18 February in the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event was attended by around 4,000 visitors and over 200 Spanish creators in attendance. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation, 29 December. The event was attended by around 2,500 people. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17-18 August for the first time. The theme of the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers participated in the event. Tubecon hosted also international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were among the international creators. A new TubeCity concept was revealed at the event. This allowed various genres, including fashion, beauty, gaming, and food, to have their own distinct blocks within the city-like event space. Tubecon also introduced Tube Academy, a new educational track, which was open to creators and anyone interested in getting more knowledge about the field of video production and industry. [12]
