- The option was added to hide matched names. Some servers send chat messages in non-standard formats. When this option is turned on, the game will attempt to apply chat hiding anyway by matching the text of messages.

MC-199487 - World generation deadlock causes crash.


MC-201885 - Divide by Zero error in the ender dragon entity class may cause a server to crash and an infinite speed.


The MC-202147 Cursor in Social Interactions and Recipe Book and Anvil menu doesn't blink

This was the final version that was fully released in 2020. This version was originally scheduled to be released on October 29, 2020. However the release was delayed by 4 days.


Note[]



- Minecraft 1.16.4 and Minecraft 1.16.5 are network compatible which means that 1.16.4 servers can accommodate players from 1.16.5.
