Minecraft Education Edition will be coming to the iPad and teachers will be able to play it from next month. Microsoft claims that there are currently 35 million users licensed to the education version of Minecraft. "Minecraft Education Edition on iPad unlocks new and intuitive ways of collaborating and sharing and has revolutionized the way that our students and teachers learn about curriculum and projects," Kyriakos Koursaris, director of technology for education at PaRK International School, said in an announcement. Koursaris said that the features enable deep meaningful learning and the values it promotes, including inclusion and 21st-century skills, allow everyone to utilize technology with a remarkable success.

Minecraft: Education Edition for iPad will be available in September and will come with the Microsoft 365 for Education license. Teachers who do not have Microsoft 365 for Education can find out how to license the game here.
In the announcement made today, Microsoft also said that the Chemistry Resource Pack developed for Minecraft: Education Edition will be made available to players playing Minecraft on Windows 10 PC and Xbox. It allows players to create elements, combine them into compounds, build periodic tables and create items such as balloons, sparklers and underwater torches using the chemistry.
