The first version, which was that was released on December 2, 2009 was more restricted than any other version of Minecraft ever released to the public, including the pre-classic version accessible via the Minecraft Launcher. On December 4, 2009, an update was released that altered the controls and added more blocks to the screen, widescreen, and the ability for players to move and destroy their blocks. [2]
The original site hosting the game was taken down in November 2014. Its archive can still be accessable via the Wayback Machine. The executable can also be accessed via the Internet Archive.
On December 2, 2012 Notch released a JavaScript version of Minecraft 4K. The version isn't capable of moving or looking around however the camera or the entire world can move by itself. There is also a blue water-like block that can be added to the other blocks. [3]

Gameplay[]
General[]
The player is able to place and take away blocks. The only block that a player can put down is grass. This is similar to the first buildings.

Minecraft Launcher
. Leaves do not decay.
World[]
Every time the game loads it is the same 64x64x63-block universe is created. The only blocks in the game are grass block, air, dirt stones, bricks, wood, and leaves - are scattered throughout the globe. No mobs exist.
The initial build of the game has one type of block, that uses an XOR fractal as a texture.
An invisible wall protects the world and stops players from fleeing, similar to invisible bedrock or an old world.
Controls[]
The player can move using the normal WASD controls as well as jumping using Space.
Left- and right-clicking controls are different from traditional Minecraft controls; left-click places blocks and right-clicks destroy them. Middle-click places blocks oddly enough. The camera is "smoothly" activated by moving the mouse, similar to pressing F8 in Java Edition. This version can't be altered.
The camera behaves differently to Minecrafts. The camera moves only when the cursor moves far enough away from the center of the game's screen. Blocks in the world are selected by the cursor, rather than the center of the screen.
The game doesn't include an option menu or HUD.
Graphics[]
The graphics appear pixelated as a result of the game's rendering at a low resolution. Even at a higher resolution the game is unable to scale the resolution correctly and the noisy appearance remains. Block textures are similar to those used in Classic in that Classic 0.30 (Creative) was the most recent version.

Similar to each other, but certain blocks, particularly stone, are a lot different. The sky is black due to the lack of a skybox.
The cursor's movement over the block will reveal its outline. This is in contrast to Minecraft's narrow gray outline of the block selection.

Blocks[]
The first version of the game has one non-air block.
The second version stores block IDs using four bits. This allows for 16 IDs. These are mostly filled in with slightly different textured dirt.
