20w16a: New Features



Bastion remnants added - Add ruined portals to the site - Added chain blocks - Added a brand new music disc titled "Pigstep" by Lena Raine which can only be found in bastions



The bastion has been added to four separate remnant types that include bridges, Hoglin stable, housing units and treasure room These massive structures across all biomes of the Nether with the exception of the treacherous ash-dusted towers in basalt deltas - Explore, collect, and take on a bastion remnant to call it your home... But beware, Piglins won't take seriously the idea of thieves stealing their things



Ruined Portals



They can be found in any overworld or nether biome. Some are hidden beneath or beneath the sea, or in sand



Changes in 20w16a



Increased the number of the lava pools to make them more "deltary". The Piglin banner design is now visible in bastions



Technical Changes in 20w16a



- Added a button to the GUI that generates the jigsaw-like structure from the jigsaw blocks, using given generation depth. The maximum size for each axis for Structure Blocks from 32 to 48. Added JMX MBean to monitor dedicated servers' tick times



JMX Monitoring



JMX now allows you to monitor server tick times. The reason behind this is that JMX is a well-known and supported monitoring technology with the tools and integrations that are in place.



This allows server admins to hook up alerts and graphing tools to normal JMX clients or dashboards.



- A new flag enable-jmx-monitoring has been added to the server.properties file which if set to true will expose an MBean with the Object name net.minecraft.server:type=Server and two attributes averageTickTime and tickTimes exposing the tick times in milliseconds. You'll have to add JVM flags to your startup to enable JMX on Java runtime.
