In a blog post Wednesday, Mojang said NFTs don't match Minecraft's values , and therefore aren't allowed in the game.
The company said that NFTs' speculative pricing and investment mindset distracts players from the game and promotes profiteering. This is in opposition to the long-term joy of our players.
The company clarified that blockchain technologies are not permitted to be integrated into our Minecraft client or server applications, nor can be used to create NFTs associated to any game content.
