On Monday, 29 March 2021, Kingswood College hosted the inaugural Uyinene Mrwetyana Commemorative Lecture in partnership with the Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation. The very first occasion of the model new ‘Kingswood Concert Series’ initiative was held last Thursday night at the Wyvern Club. Shortly thereafter, Safmarine acquired 4 more ships. This opened up large promotion prospects, and I acquired command of Constantia in January of 1959. Safmarine had also opened their own workplaces within the States, and I was sent over as Port Captain, Houston to oversee operations in the US Gulf and South Atlantic. Held this place for three years, and then moved to New York as Marine Superintendent. Then to Cape Town as Marine Manager for a further three years. Went back to the States as Vice President, and served in various positions there until finished up as President.
