For the first time in more than 10 years, the iconic Minecraft (opens in a new tab) default skin/character Steve has a beard once more in the latest update to Minecraft's next version. There are a few small modifications to the texture of the skins for Alex and Steve in the beta launcher. This is a massive difference.
Steve is now sporting the iconic beard. The sleeves are rolled up or cuffed sleeves and more definition of color in key areas like the chest and arms. Maybe they've just shined the sleeves. Hard to say, all that mining dust isn't it?
Alex is wearing the same sleeve cuffs, as well as more contrasting colors on most of their clothing. It's notable that there's a distinct depth and layering on Alex's hair.
Everyone has suffered from the multi-year-old global pandemic. A lot of people thought that this was the perfect time to get a beard since they were not leaving the house or anything-including, it seems, Minecraft Steve. Is this a canon? Of course, it isn't. Top Minecraft Servers It was a prank.
Steve's beard disappeared for the first time in 2009, 13 years prior to when Alex came onto the scene. Despite this, the beard was still visible in official artwork. The show even came to life when they inserted Steve into Super Smash Brothers.
