The first pre-release version of 1.16.4 is now available!
You've probably noticed, if been using the Internet for long and you've encounter other users you do not like. We're creating an UI feature called "social interactions screen" which will allow you to disable chatting with specific users and block any messages they send to you. The 1.16.4 update will also fix bugs that are critical to the game. However, this will be the end of this dot-release.
We need your assistance to test the new UI.
New Features in 1.16.4 Prerelease 1

- Opens with a configurable key binding, which is default "P" - If a player is hidden, it resets when re-joining a server
Technical Changes in 1.16.4 Pre-release 1
A new scheme for network protocols, with the highest bit (bit 30) set for snapshots. Each snapshot will see an increase in the protocol version by one, however full releases could have the same version of protocol as the previous full release in case the protocols for the network are compatible. - In cases of poor performance, more information is added to the crash log.

Pre-releases are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. Aye Aye To install the pre-release, start the Minecraft Launcher and turn on snapshots under the "Installations" tab.
