Technoblade: Minecraft YouTuber dies from cancer aged 23

Technoblade is a YouTuber from Minecraft was killed at the age of 23. His family has posted an emotional farewell video on behalf of him.
The video, which was titled "solong nerds", was posted to his 10,000,000 followers and showed his father saying that he was "the best kid anyone could ever ask for".
The US internet celebrity became famous through livestreaming and posting clips of his playing the videogame sandbox.
Technoblade announced to his fans in the year 2000 that he was diagnosed with cancer.
The farewell message, written moments before his death and read by his father, began: "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. This is what you should be seeing. I am dead."
He then admitted that his real name was Alex. He also recalled the time he tricked viewers into believing his name was Dave.
"Thank you all for your support of my work throughout the years," he continued. "If I had another hundred years to live I'm sure I'd choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the happiest years of my life."
The online star, who has won Minecraft tournaments and had thousands of fans talking about his life in a humorous way while playing the game, explained in a fundraising video published in February that he been through chemotherapy, radiation therapy and a limb salvage operation after developing a painful tumour in his right arm.
Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer that caused his death.
In August 2021, he revealed the diagnosis of cancer. He explained that he initially believed that the discomfort that he was experiencing was caused by an injury to the muscles due to playing too much. After his arm became swollen it was taken to the hospital. He was diagnosed with cancer.
Little is known about Technoblade who kept his real identity secret until the very end. However, his online avatar was a picture of a crown pig.
He has 10.8 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, and he bio reads: "I play video games often. I might not be the greatest, but I do have hot elbows."
'Strategizing in heaven'
Fans of fellow gamers, fellow gamers, and YouTubers have paid tribute to him on the internet after learning of his passing.
"I'll never forget the day I met Technoblade," recalled J Schlatt. "I quit my job in the morning to take part in the Minecraft tournament. I didn't know how to play... but the dude was able to get us through the entire event.
"Rest in peace, big guy. You'll be a legend for the rest of your life."
YouTuber Captain Puffy Captain Puffy, also known as Cara, tweeted: "Rest In Peace Technoblade. He always treated me with pure kindness. I was never excluded from anything." He couldn't be more kind!"
She said, "Thanks for everything you have done for this community. It will never be the same again without you."
Tommy Innit stated that "Technoblade" is legendary. I can't express how thankful I am to have been an integral part of his life from being a huge fan to being one of his closest friends. I know he is working in heaven to defeat God ...".
Ludwig Ahgren added, "I've been watching Technoblade for more than an hour." "He was so witty and so humble even in the most difficult of circumstances. He will always be a role model for me."
Quackity also expressed his gratitude on social media and wrote: "I had the opportunity to convey to Technoblade the amount of admiration and gratitude I felt for him, not just for the enormous impact his presence had on us all, but also for keeping his incredible humour even in the darkest of times. I will miss him so much."
Jake Lucky, an eSports player, added "May you rest and be at peace."
Technoblade's dad thanked fans in the video that he sent to fans saying: "You meant a lot to him."
He explained that a percentage of online purchases for the items of his son would now be donated to charity.
The video concluded with a letter from his family. It said: "We, Technoblade, wanted you to know how much he loved and respected his fans and colleagues."
Technoblade was active from the very beginning. He was always trying to find ways to delight and reward his followers. He gave away prizes online, urged good sportsmanship, and shared his Minecraft adventures for laughter and entertainment.
"Even after his eventual successes he somehow managed to keep his good-natured humour, and compete with a charming balance of confidence and self-deprecating humor."
Minecraft allows players to create their own imaginative virtual worlds by digging holes to gather blocks.
Recent modifications to the game have been utilized by children to develop their skills in the workplace, and to tackle real-world issues like flooding.
Ted Nevison described Technoblade as being "effortlessly hilarious" and "endlessly talented". "Gone too quickly," he said.
Bad Boy Halo also paid their respects and expressed their condolences, saying: "Words cannot express how you'll miss. The lives you touched and the impact that you made on their lives will be cherished for the rest of time.
Slimecicle said Technoblade's "personality and sense of humour are an source of inspiration for me and many others."
