The shop also offers custom paint and bike builds. You can take your bike to LifeCycles for service if you're not sure what you're looking for.

If you're looking for a new bike, consider checking out Bicycles Unlimited in Garforth. This shop offers custom-built bicycles, repairs, and safety checks. They're open Monday through Friday from 10AM to 6PM and are closed on Sundays. Located at the edge of the city, this shop is the perfect spot for a day of cycling. You can even get your bike fit for free! They have a dedicated section for ladies' bikes, and they sell various brands of bike shoes.

Cycle hire

There is an exciting new scheme in the works for cycle hire in Leeds. Leeds City Council is hoping to secure PS2 million to introduce fully docked public electric bike hire. Once the funding is in place, Leeds City Council hopes to deploy 630 e-bikes spread across 140 hubs and stations throughout the city. Cycle hire in Leeds would be available to the public twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The dockless bike hire scheme of ofo will begin operating in Leeds on 15 May. It will start with 1,000 bikes for hire in the city centre, before expanding into the suburbs and the surrounding towns. The company already operates in Sheffield and Cambridge, and also runs schemes in Norwich and London. As of February, ofo had served over six billion rides to people in 200 cities across 21 countries. The company is a pioneer in dockless bike hire, making it a healthy, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional forms of transportation.

Pedal assist system

The Leeds Bicycle Pedal assist system allows you to activate the electric motor as you pedal your bicycle. Activating the PAS system is as easy as selecting the level of motor assistance that you would like. By using selector buttons on the front of the bike, you can change the levels from one to five. You can even switch off the pedal assist system if you prefer to pedal manually. The Leeds Pedal assist sensor is ideal for bikes with dual-motor systems.

Pedal assist systems can come in two basic types: basic and advanced. Basic PAS sensors detect the speed of the cranks but not the force applied. The result is that basic PAS systems produce a fixed amount of power when pedaling. More advanced systems, however, can vary their level of assistance with the cadence of the rider. In the end, the device you choose should work best for your needs.

Cycle superhighway

A new cycle route has been opened in Leeds. The Cycle Superhighway will link Leeds with Bradford, creating segregated cycle routes and opening up the city to new employment opportunities. The project is expected to begin in February 2018. The cycle routes will be constructed using British Standard Kerb, Moordale Textured flag paving and Woburn Original block paving. A new cycle route is being built to connect the Leeds and Bradford city centres. The CityConnect cycle route is expected to open in 2021. The route is part of a PS6.3 million package of routes to the city, including a 3km cycle route on Elland Road and a 1.5km section on Dewsbury Road. The cycle route is expected to increase cycling by 15 per cent this year, with a further 2.5 miles planned through Leeds centre.
