Leeds Bicycle - The Automotive Industry Started From Bicycle Design
The automotive industry started from bicycle design and, in turn, grew into the global automotive industry. Leeds Bicycle is still a top bicycle manufacturer, but the automotive industry came from bicycle design. This company was bought by Andrew Needham, a self-proclaimed "bike fanatic."

Other riders included John Clay, father of Jon Clay, and Dave Hamilton, who beat Barry Hoban in the Girlington Kermesse. Woodrup also used Olympic and Giro d'Itala tracks for racing.

A new store in Yorkshire has opened from cycling brand All Terrain Cycles. The two-storey store has over a thousand bikes on display. It also boasts a bike workshop with Cytech trained mechanics. The Lord Mayor of Leeds even mounted a racing trike to celebrate the store's opening. For those in the market for a new bicycle, it's a great place to shop. The store is putting on a team of five cyclists to compete in the event. They include three members of its road team, and local riders Andy North and James Welsh. The team will embark on their quest on July 7 and aim to complete it by July 10th. The team will have to ride for a week to complete the challenge. Halfords recently announced the closure of the Cycle Republic chain, resulting in the redundancy of 226 staff. The new owner, Pure Electric, is headed by former Cycle Republic boss Peter Kimberley. There will be fewer Halfords Leeds stores, but the remaining locations will continue to trade under the Halfords name.
