Minecraft convention firm sorry over Peterborough's protest-stricken event

After angry parents criticized the convention on social media, organizers of a Minecraft convention stated that they were "truly sorry".
However, a lot of people have claimed they waited for hours to meet famous players and demanded refunds.
O'Brien Event Management stated that a new system would be implemented to reduce the waiting times in the near future.
The unofficial convention, not endorsed by Minecraft-developer Mojang fans had the opportunity to meet famous "Youtubers", take photographs and play games.
Lisa O'Brien of O'Brien Event Management has previously told the BBC that the lines were 45 minutes long due to the huge number of people who showed on the day and did not purchase tickets in advance.
A further statement released on the website of the company reads: "We are truly genuinely sorry to hear our event did not meet the expectations of a few guests.
"MineVention is primarily a 'meet and greet' event and therefore, it is a queue however on the positive side it does give the children the chance to meet their heroes.
LIBERTY
"We have taken your comments about the event on board and, in the future we will be putting into a new queueing system and much more content."
Peterborough Arena, responsible for catering, also released an apology for the "sheer amount" of people who walked through the doors on the day of the event for the long lines.
Both parties agreed to respond to any unhappy parents that had contacted them in a timely course.
Refunds are not being discussed, however some parents have claimed that they were given the following day after complaining to staff.
Online ticketing company YPlan stated that it was "actively seeking information about the event partner to better understand its position regarding refunds, and will seek compensation for all our customers who were unhappy about the event."
