This Minecraft Mario mod changes the normal mob into enemies from the Mario series and isn't just restricted to Nintendo consoles. Official Mario DLC packs have existed but were only available on Nintendo consoles.
RaineyX is a Minecraft YouTuber, decided to create the mod after being inspired by the Mario Kart mod we wrote last month. They make use of software to alter the models, as described on the official site, and then basically release them to the wild, however, you can witness the entire process in their video about it. While the mod doesn't change the behavior of affected Minecraft mobs it is still a nice visual effect. It's a great illustration of how easy it is to play Minecraft as a game if you have the right skills. This is probably the reason there are so many amazing Minecraft mods. It's a shame Nintendo doesn’t appreciate PC gamers more.

You only have to look at the likes of the brand new Spellcraft DLC to discover what's possible with Minecraft. It's a blank slate with a lot of potential, and you know Nintendo could do even more with it. But, it's unlikely it will happen anytime soon.
