If you've ever dreamed of building an actual and functional Windows 95 PC inside Minecraft, now is the time. A new VM Computers mod has been developed for Minecraft that lets players order computer parts from a satellite orbiting the Minecraft world and build an actual computer that runs Windows 95 and a variety of other operating systems.

VirtualBox, an open-source, free virtual machine software, is used to run Windows 95. Within Minecraft you simply place an PC case block and then use it to create virtual hard drives to install operating systems from ISO files.
Naturally, the Minecraft community has been testing with the VM Computers mod, and some have succeeded in getting Doom running within Minecraft as result. There's bound to be more experimentation on the way particularly when people construct multiple computers that boot different operating systems within Minecraft worlds. You could even play Minecraft on a PC within Minecraft.
The process of getting Windows 95 and Doom running is the ultimate test for any mod or hack. Windows 95 has been tested on an Xbox One, an Apple Watch and even as an app you can download and install on macOS and Windows. Can Minecraft run Crysis but? We're eager to find out.
