We are eager to let you see it all and we can't wait to see you there. But until then, keep your eyes open, stay safe and stay positive.
You were excited. We were excited. The excitement was evident throughout the entire event. Minecraft Festival tickets were going to be released on Friday of this week, officially beginning the countdown to our in-person blockstravaganza this September. However, after careful consideration and much contemplation, we've decided to postpone the event until next year.
Many event organizers been forced to cancel or postpone events and gatherings all over the world due to the COVID-19 disease. This was done to safeguard their guests' health and security. The situation around Minecraft Festival, however, is a bit different. We are still months away from September and cannot predict the time it will take to end the outbreak. This is a result of the huge amount of preparations required to organize an event like this.
Our partners, producers and exhibitors are scattered all over the globe, so we are currently not able to connect and collaborate in the way we would like to. We don't know when we can begin planning again, so we've decided not to go ahead. Nfo.so So we can be sure that next year's event will be one that our community wants and deserves.
It's true that this is extremely depressing. We do have some good news! Minecraft Live will be happening, as planned. It'll be the place for all the most recent Minecraft news, announcements and behind the scenes exclusives, and it will be live-streamed to your screen, no matter where you are. Thanks, Internet!
