I had conducted some testing before connecting to Turtle WoW with 1.14. I changed HermesProxy to allow them to send their custom-built build to the login server instead 1.12.1. However, none of the custom items are displayed correctly in the game. All custom items display red question marks that do not have descriptions, and custom creatures appear like untextured cubes. Modern clients use totally different file formats, which means it is impossible to apply their custom MPQ patch to them. Clients with new clients no longer use MPQ files to store their data. Wow servers all over Blizzard switched to CASC some time ago. Stick to the blizzlike servers like Vanilla Gaming or Kronos WoW for a great experience with 1.14.
thanks man, id go with Kronos however, i got banned for a while after chatting about how kinda dead the server was for about 2 seconds, even got removed from discord, so i have no way of getting unbanned atm

Best option is to sit and wait for the next release of Everlook. Looks promising, coming after wotlk classic release.
