SABRE TRAINING
Introduction to Sabre
American Airlines created Sabre with IBM
Command to login: SI*(login id) then hit enter->system would ask for duty code//SIoffice id to log in to specific work area.

Encode & Decode: To find airport code/airport city/airlines names from airlines code and vice versa
Finder(available on right hand side of page): Just like help command in Amadeus. Sort of search browser
Click Tool>options>Apperance; to customise sabre screen
JM followed by work area to jump to other work area

Quotation/Apostrophe: Cross Of Lorraine/Used to connect elements in format
Change Key: Y(japanese yen): Left Bracket: Used to change work area or delete current PNR
Y: Cross of Lorraine
Command Identifier: used to input a command(command enter through set of keys in Sabre)
Availability command: 1 followed by date and city pair :- 110janlhrlaxCOLAA
3 GFAX: Request special services or information on other airlines[3OSI (A/L) message]

4 FAX: Request special services or information on American airlines[4OSI message]

5 RMKS: Add remarks information[5H-remarks][H-indicate agent put the remarks, if H not used it means system remarks]

6 RCVD: Received from

7 TKT: Add ticketing field[7TAW/][7TAW/

9 Fone: Add telephone number[9LAS123-3454-4533-H]
0 SEG: Sell from air, car or hotel availability display
- Name: Add passenger name

* DSPLY: Display passenger name record
Note: Use 'I ' very carefully as it can ignore the PNR
SABRE ESSENTIALS:
Scrolling commands:

Move up: MU, Move down: MD, Move bottom: MB, Move Top: MT, Clearscreen: CTRL+Backspace or ALT+backspace(using cntrl key can show history/ALT key delete all history from all areas and all pages), Check valid connection time: VCT,
Transaction Commands:
End transaction and received: ER Ignore: IG, Ignore and retrieve: IR
Note: (ERK/EWR, if run EWR changes will be saved and no options to IR)
Insert: insert a character or subsequent character to left,
Delete: to delete characters
Home: to move to upper left corner (press home button)
Shift+page down: Reset
Esc: Move to left margin, start of line(commands used when system is stuck)(command takes to the start of line, copy and paste the command and then enter to run command)

02B3: to sell seats [if there is connecting flight either use display(*) to sell seats or separately sell seats for connecting flight]{0 no of passenger class of service line number}
02B3*: to sell seats for connecting flights
1*C: to show all the class of service while availability

CREATING PNR:

P: Phone Number
R: Received
I: Itinerary
N: Name
T: Ticketing time limit

Note: ticketing time limit will be done using number 7 instead of number 8
Selling seats:
02B3*: to sell seats
02B3: to sell seats for connecting flights
To enter name: -last name/first name
-2last name/first name 1/first name 2: command to enter multiple passenger's name with same surname[-2Weller/Jane/Kurt]

delete the segment and after change key add new information[55#-H free flow text: 55: indicate segment 5 deletion from remarks field and -H free flow to inter new info]

{change segment number 1 on OSI AA field to Hello Happy: 41#hello happy-H}
